Installing Wi-Fi Drivers on Linux Mint 19.3

Recently had some issues with getting my new ‘BrosTrend AC1200 – Model: AC1L’ Wireless USB Device installed after purchasing from Amazon.

After some further investigation, I found it was using the Realtek 8812AU Chipset.

Fortunately, the company the make the adaptor have uploaded some drivers on their site with the code to automatically download and install:

sh -c 'wget deb.trendtechcn.com/installer.sh -O /tmp/installer.sh && sh /tmp/installer.sh'

But if for any reason this website ceases to exist, I’ve taken a copy of the drivers and uploaded to my blog. These can be downloaded below:
